Car TV ยท Last updated October 5, 2026
Car TV is a media player. It plays streams from sources that you add yourself. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: we don't collect your sources, channels or viewing history. We use two services: one to manage your subscription, and one to measure which ads bring people to the app.
Data we collect
Car TV has no sign-up and shows no ads. We don't run servers that receive your sources, channels or viewing history.
Subscriptions
Car TV Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a random anonymous ID created by the app, your App Store purchase history for Car TV, and basic device details such as iOS version and country. This data is used only to provide your subscription and isn't used for tracking or advertising.
Advertising measurement
Car TV uses Adjust to find out which advertising campaigns lead people to install the app. Adjust receives install and app-open events, basic device details (such as device model, iOS version, language and country) and your IP address. If you allow tracking when iOS asks, Adjust also receives your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), which can link your install to ads you saw in other companies' apps and websites. That is "tracking" under Apple's rules.
If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the advertising identifier isn't shared. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it to show you ads inside Car TV.
Data stored on your device
To work, Car TV keeps the following on your iPhone only:
- The playlist addresses, playlist files and Xtream Codes server details you add
- Channel lists downloaded from those sources, your favorites and recently watched channels
- App settings, such as appearance and playback options
- Xtream Codes passwords, stored in the iOS Keychain
This data never leaves your device through us. Deleting the app removes it.
Connections the app makes
Car TV connects directly from your device to the playlist, stream, logo and Xtream Codes servers you add, to download channel lists and play video. Those servers belong to the providers you chose. They may see your IP address and request details, as with any internet connection, under their own privacy policies.
If you use AirPlay or CarPlay, playback information is handled by Apple's operating system under Apple's privacy policy.
Content
Car TV doesn't provide, host or review any channels or media. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to access the sources you add.
Children
Car TV doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
